Story Time

im thinking about writing a story and i just want to get some feedback on if its a good story idea its about a kid who's family move to the bottom of the sea with his whole neighborhood and his friends and I already have this whole idea of how they survive on the bottom with these special collars to let them grow gills and their eyes adjust to the darkness of the bottom of the ocean and how when they enter house they go into a sort of like reverse spongebob squarepants sandys house where the water leaks out but in my story there are like these big fans that dry you off but before that you take of your collars and its like normal houses its set in present time but where people have enough tech to do this also set in america
TL;DR idea about a story where boys moves to bottom of ocean

It sounds like bioshock.
sorta but rapture the city in bioschock was built by Andrew Ryan to get away from the government and to give everyone true freedom of speech and to do anything they want sort of whereas in my story this is just a kid moving with his family not some kind of pilgrimage to the sea for some form of freedom damn i havent played bioschock in a few years now also I assume by bioschock you mean the idea of going to a city under the sea not all that fucked up shit with DNA restructuring and insane addicts but thats all i have to say and on a unrelated note derp.
